Crash closes stretch of A35 Lyndhurst Road, near Christchurch




A BUSY stretch of the A35 near Christchurch was closed as emergency crews dealt with a collision which happened this afternoon (Monday).

Paramedics and police responded following reports around 12.50pm of an incident involving a vehicle on Lyndhurst Road at Roeshot Hill.

No details of injuries have yet been released.

Posting on Twitter, police said road closures were in place between the Lyndhurst roundabout and Station Road at Hinton Admiral. Motorists were advised to avoid the area.

A spokesperson for the Dorset force said: “We received a report at 12.51pm of a single vehicle collision on the A35 Lyndhurst Road between the Lyndhurst roundabout and Station Road at Hinton Admiral.

“Officers are currently at the scene, along with the ambulance service, and road closures have been put in place as emergency services deal with the incident.

“We do not have any updates in relation to any injuries at this time.”

The road was reopened by 3.20pm
