Cyclist badly hurt in crash with car on A337 Lymington Road, opposite Sunset Mews, in Highcliffe




A CYCLIST was badly hurt in a crash with a car in the centre of Highcliffe on Saturday morning.

Police are appealing for witnesses and video footage of the collision, which involved a red Jaguar and happened around 8.30am on the A337 Highcliffe Road, opposite Sunset Mews.

The rider, a man in his 40s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. The Jaguar driver was uninjured.

PC Rio Baker said: “An investigation is under way to establish the full circumstances, and I would ask members of the public who saw what happened and have not yet spoken to police to please come forward.

“I am also appealing to anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on CCTV or dashcam footage to please come forward.”
