Cyclist suffered 'serious injuries' in collision with car

A CYCLIST was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision with a car in Beaulieu.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which was reported to have happened on the B3054 in the village at about 4.30pm on Wednesday.

Officers were called to the scene from where a cyclist was taken to Southampton General Hospital. The casualty was said to have suffered “serious injuries”, including a laceration to their knee.

A Hampshire police spokesperson said: “We’re appealing for witnesses following a road traffic incident in Beaulieu.

“Enquiries into how the accident occurred are ongoing, but we’re also turning to the public for help.

“Were you in the area at the time? Did you see what happened? Or maybe you have dashcam footage available?”
