Cyclist avoiding oncoming car causes collision with three others in Pound Lane, Burley




TWO cyclists were hurt after a crash involving two others on a New Forest road.

According to police, the incident in Pound Lane, Burley, shortly after 6.30pm yesterday (Thursday) took place as a result of one of the group trying to avoid an oncoming car.

Both casualties were said to have suffered minor injuries, and there were no reports of paramedics attending the scene.

A spokesperson for the Hampshire force said: “We were called at 6.38pm with reports of a collision between a group of four cyclists.

“Police were told that the cyclist at the front of the group took avoiding action due to an oncoming car and stopped suddenly, which resulted in all four cyclists colliding with each other.”
