Men accused of murdering Pennington dad Max Maguire set to go on trial at Winchester Crown Court on 3rd May
TWO men accused of killing Pennington dad Max Maguire will go on trial in early May, it has been confirmed.
Garon Jewell (19), of Flushards, Lymington, and Draven Jewell (21), of no fixed abode, both stand accused of murder, attempted murder and inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent.
Neither defendant has entered pleas to the charges, but both appeared before Winchester Crown Court last week where it was confirmed their trial will begin at the same court on 3rd May.
It is said they killed dad-of-one Max outside the Royal British Legion on Lymington High Street between 22nd and 25th October 2021.
They are also accused of the attempted murder of Luke Gray and inflicting grievous bodily harm on Georgia Hole – known as Georgina Wort.
The pair have been remanded in custody.
As reported in the A&T, Max was 23, a fisherman, and father to Delilah Daisy.
His sister, Blaise, called him the "kindest, funniest, amazing brother, son and father anyone could wish for", adding: "Life will never be the same without our beautiful Max."
