Disruption for rail passengers after South Western Railway engineering work at Brockenhurst overruns
RAIL passengers are facing travel disruption this morning (Wednesday) after engineering work at Brockenhurst overran.
Announcing the issue around 5.30am, South Western Railway warned trains may be cancelled, delayed or revised.
Despite al lines having reopened by 6.20am, the hold-ups are expected to continue until midday.
An SWR spokesperson said: “We were earlier informed of overrunning engineering works at Brockenhurst.
“This has now been completed and all lines have reopened. Services will still be subject to delay, cancellation or alteration while we return the service to normal.
“We are very sorry for any delay that this may cause to your journey.”
Passengers needing more information or onward travel advice are asked to speak to a member of staff or use a station help point.
Those wishing to continue their journey on local buses can check traveline.info but SWR tickets are not valid on local buses unless stated.
