Don't miss bin day in the New Forest with Christmas timetable
CHANGES will be made to the regular waste and recycling collection timetable in the New Forest over the Christmas period.
A leaflet will be sent by the district council in mid-December to every household giving full details of the alterations, as well as Christmas tree drop-off points and a cut-out-and-keep guide of what can be recycled in the clear sacks.
The leaflets will also be available from information offices.
The glass recycling box collection times have also changed and there will be a Christmas tree recycling drop-off point in most towns. Only real trees can be recycled.
Normal refuse collection timetables will resume from 6th January.

Chris Noble, NFDC’s service manager for waste and recycling, said: “We try to avoid making changes to collection days over the Christmas and new year period to minimise disruption to our residents, but sometimes it’s unavoidable.
“We understand our residents can have more waste at this time of year and would encourage people to check out ways they can reduce, reuse and recycle more, or use their local household waste recycling centre for larger items such as cardboard boxes.”
