New store Muse & Moi opens on St Thomas Street in Lymington

THE newest season arrivals have hit Lymington town centre as a new independent fashion shop opens its doors.

Muse & Moi is the new venture of Kay Ward and her daughter Hattie, after the former decided against retirement, opting instead for a new challenge.

“After a successful exit of 15 years in hospitality and catering, there came a fork in the road for me,” Kay said.

“It was a question of retirement or retail, gardening and coffee mornings versus a new challenge and chapter.

“But with a business mind and a thirst for excellence, myself and Hattie decided to bring something new to the town.”

The new shop is on St Thomas Street at the top of town, a spot Kay describes as “heaven sent and designed perfectly for fashion retail”.

“It’s on the right side of the street, the sunny side, and offers a light and bright environment,” she said.

Kay said the pair were looking forward to bringing “something different” to Lymington.

“‘I am a local girl, having grown up in the New Forest; living in Lymington, knowing the town, being able to walk to work and grow local relations is what it is all about for me.

“Anybody who knows me will tell you that a list of my favourite things include sparkle, twinkle, handbags and an outfit for every occasion – it is a match made in heaven.”
