Fawley motorist Martin Lennards avoids jail after Southampton Magistrates Court appearance over driving offences

A MOTORIST from Fawley has avoided going to jail after he pleaded guilty to a series of driving related offences.
Martin Lennards (66) of Churchfields admitted failing without reasonable excuse to provide a blood specimen for testing during an investigation into a suspected driving offence.
He also admitted driving a silver Kia otherwise than in accordance with a licence and without insurance in Fawley on 17 August.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates’ Court, Lennards was sentenced to eight weeks in jail, suspended for 18 months, and was ordered to complete 15 days of rehabilitation activities.
Lennards was also banned from the highways for 48 months, fined £600 and was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £240 surcharge.
