Driver suffers life-threatening injuries in two-vehicle bank holiday collision on A31 near Minstead




A MOTORIST was badly hurt in a two-vehicle collision on Monday night which closed a stretch of the A31 near Minstead for several hours.

Police have made a plea for witnesses following the incident, which took place around 11pm and involved a white Honda Civic and a green Ford Focus.

The Ford driver, a 69-year-old man from Chineham, was taken by taken by ambulance to hospital having suffered serious injuries.

A spokesperson from South Central Ambulance Service said his injuries were life-threatening.

A Hampshire police spokesperson said afterwards: “Officers investigating the collision are keen to hear from anyone who can assist their enquiries.

“They are particularly keen to speak with anyone who has dashcam footage of either of the vehicles in the moments prior to the collision.”
