DRIVERS using the westbound M27 between junction five for Eastleigh and junction two at Ower are facing night closures and diversions for the next week.

Resurfacing a section of the westbound carriageways between junctions three - the interchange with the M271 - and two starts tomorrow night (Thursday) by Highways England, following resurfacing of the A31 between Cadnam and Ringwood.

As a result the westbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 9pm and 6am, for eight nights (Monday to Friday only) with a signed diversion via Romsey.

In addition, the M27 westbound carriageway from junction five to junction three will be closed this Saturday and Sunday nights, 9pm to 6am, for work on road lighting, with a signed diversion via Chilworth, North Baddesley and the A3057.
