Drugs and weapons seized in police raid on New Forest home
TWO people were arrested after police seized a haul of suspected class A drugs, as well as a variety of weapons, in a raid on a Blackfield home.
Knives and a knuckle-duster were among the items recovered along with the substance and drugs paraphernalia.
Officers from Hampshire Police executed a warrant at the address in Wilverley Place early last Thursday.
A 29-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man, both local, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine.
They were later released under investigation. Neither of them was arrested in connection with the weapons.
The outcome of the raid prompted a post by the Waterside Police Twitter account, urging people to “#RatOnARat” if they know of anyone carrying knives in the New Forest.
Anyone with information should contact officers at the Hampshire force on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
