Casualty taken to hospital after air ambulance lands on Long Meadow, off Becton Lane in Barton




ONE person was taken to hospital following an emergency at a Barton beauty spot this afternoon (Thursday).

The alarm was raised shortly after 12.30pm, and Hampshire & Isle of Wight air ambulance landed on Long Meadow, off Becton Lane.

The casualty was ultimately taken by road ambulance to hospital, accompanied by the helicopter’s medics.

No further details about the incident are currently available.

A spokesperson for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance charity said: “The air ambulance, carrying one doctor and two specialist paramedics, was dispatched to an incident in New Milton at 12.36 on Thursday 9th May.

“The patient was taken to hospital by road, with the air ambulance crew travelling with the patient to continue providing treatment.”
