Family pay tribute to Dianne Roebuck (77) following fatal collision on Milford Road, Lymington




THE family of a Lymington pensioner who was killed in a fatal collision in the town have spoken of their “profound sadness” at her death.

Police are investigating the incident, which took place on Milford Road on Tuesday just before 2pm, and involved a blue Vauxhall Meriva.

Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, Dianne Roebuck died at the scene.

In a statement her family said: "It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Dianne, who died unexpectedly on the 27th August 2024 at the age of 77.

"She will be sadly missed by her husband, daughters, grandchildren and other members of her family."

As reported in the A&T, a 60 year-old woman from Lymington was arrested on the same day on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

She has since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.

Renewing their appeal for witnesses, a spokesperson for Hampshire police said: “We would like to hear from anyone who may have been passing through the area around the time of the collision and saw what happened or the moments leading up to it.

“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who has dash cam footage which could help us with our investigation.”
