Finish of 2021 New Forest point-to-point races revealed as near Markway
THE finish of this year’s New Forest point-to-point races is set to be in the vicinity of Markway, near Lyndhurst, organisers have revealed.
The New Forest Pony Breeding and Cattle Society added the first contest on Monday will end at around 11am.
To get there, racegoers should proceed westwards along the A35 from the Lyndhurst direction where the route to the finish line parking will be signposted.
However, the society stressed anyone wishing to attend the finish with a vehicle must have a parking pass.
As reported in the A&T, the licence granted to the event limits the number of vehicles allowed at the finish to 250 – with two passes each already given to the 80 or so competitors.
The society warned the vehicle pass policy will be "strictly enforced", adding: "All other visitors can park at nearby Forestry England car parks and proceed to the finish on foot."
