Five hurt in multi-car crash which closes A338 during rush hour

FIVE people were hurt in a multi-vehicle pile-up which closed off a stretch of the A338 between Ringwood and Fordingbridge to morning rush-hour traffic.

The incident occurred in Salisbury Road at Ibsley around 7.50am today (Monday).

A full road closure was put in place while the crash was dealt with and paramedics assessed the five casualties. Describing their injuries as minor, a South Central Amublance Service spokesperson said they were all discharged at the scene.

A social media post by the fire service afterwards said: “Just returning from a road traffic collision involving five vehicles on Salisbury Road, Ibsley.

“Crews made scene safe, gave medical care to one patient and left five casualties with ambulance service on their arrival.”
