HIGH tides could bring flooding to parts of Christchurch this evening (Wednesday).
The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for the east coast of Dorset, including Hengistbury Head and Christchurch Harbour.
It states high tides, strong winds and large waves means flooding is possible between 7.15pm and 11.15pm.
The Environment Agency says it is “closely monitoring” the situation and is advising members of the public to avoid beaches and coastal promenades during this time.
