Flood warnings and alerts for Blackwater River, Brockenhurst, Boldre, Christchurch, Fordingbridge, Lymington River and Brockenhurst
A RAFT of flood warnings and alerts are in place across the New Forest and Christchurch.
The Environment Agency made the announcements this morning (Monday) after heavy rain continued across the region, adding to already-saturated surfaces.
Flooding is expected and properties are at risk at Brockenhurst and Boldre on Lymington River; Barrack Road and Willow Way in Christchurch; and Roman Quay, Timbermill Court and Bowerwood in Fordingbridge.
A lower-risk flood alert has been issued for Landford to East Wellow and Wade Bridge on Blackwater River, Cadnam to Ower on the Cadnam River.
The EA has told residents to avoid using low-lying footpaths, driving through flood water and – for those in warning areas – to use any property flood protection they have.
