Wessex League Premier

Lymington have now won two out of their opening three games after beating Shaftesbury 4-1 over the weekend. Goals from Mike Gosney, Aziz Aldhayan, Micky Finch and Dom Falco secured victory.

Christchurch backed up their 7-2 win in the FA Cup last week with a narrow 1-0 victory over AFC Stoneham. Matthew Neale scored the only goal of the game as the visitors claimed their first league win of the season.

Bashley were held to a 1-1 draw with Cowes Sports on the Isle of Wight. A first-minute header from Ashley Brett put Cowes in front, but Bashley found their way back into the game with a Harry Morgan strike.

Wessex Division One

Two goals from Kieran Roche secured a 3-2 win for Fawley AFC over Andover Town. Dec Hardigan was also on the scoresheet as Fawley snatched their first win of the campaign.

Hythe and Dibden were held to a 1-1 draw against Laverstock and Ford. Striker Sam Woodward scored Hythe’s goal which maintains their unbeaten start to the season.

Pewsey Vale and New Milton Town battled out a 0-0 stalemate to leave the Linnets with three points from four games.

Ringwood Town went down to a 5-3 defeat at home to Newport IOW. The loss puts them third in the league as they suffered their first defeat of the season.

Dan Spencer scored the only goal for Totton and Eling as they slipped to a 4-1 away defeat to United Services Portsmouth.
