2024 fireworks displays and bonfires at Christchurch, Ringwood, Bournemouth, Totton, Poulner, Fawley, Bransgore and Lyndhurst




GET set for some sparkling displays with a whole host of great firework events planned for Hampshire and Dorset.

In Christchurch the Rotary club is putting on a bonfire and display for the first time in six years.

Going ahead at the Grange School at 5pm on 2nd November, the event promises to be an impressive community event, with live entertainment thrown in for good measure.

Bonfire lighting is at 6.30pm with the display at 7.45pm.

Tickets are on sale now priced £7 for adults and £4 for children, or buy on the night for £8 and £5. There will be no parking on site, with the nearest public parking at Two Riversmeet Leisure Centre.

For the first time, there will be a free community firework display on Avon Beach on Monday 4th November, put on by the Noisy Lobster. The fun starts at 4.30pm, with fireworks at 6.30pm.

Ringwood’s Grand Fireworks will be held on Sunday 3rd November, featuring two stunning displays. There is also a fairground, children’s circus workshops, fire shows and live music from Swing Unlimited Big Band.

Gates open at 3pm, with a ‘low bangs’ display at 5.30pm followed by a noisier one at 7pm.

The bonfire lighting is at 6.15pm and the band will be performing from 6pm.

This year tickets are only available online. Advance tickets are £3.50 until 27th October and after that will be £5. Disabled people and pre-school kids go free.

Cllr Rae Frederick, town mayor and chair of the events committee, said: “This is always a highlight of the Ringwood calendar. Our new online ticketing system will make it easier and safer for everyone to enjoy the event.”

One of the biggest and most popular displays is at the Littledown Centre in Bournemouth.

This year it takes place on 2nd November, with three sets at 7pm, 8pm, and the “loudest” at 9pm.

The fireworks are provided by Pains, one of the UK’s longest established fireworks companies. It is committed to making displays as environmentally friendly as possible.

There is also a performance by top tribute band Oasiss.

Gates open at 5.30pm. Family tickets are priced £28.60, which saves £13 on the gate price. Adults cost £9.15 in advance and over-threes are priced at £5.72.

AFC Totton will host its event at Snows Stadium on Friday 1st November, with a disco and fairground rides.

Totton and Eling Cricket Club will host a display on 3rd November, with children’s ‘rides and slides’ and a DJ. Gates open at 4pm with fireworks at 6.30pm.

In Ringwood the Alice Lisle Pub is holding a free bonfire night on 1st November. The event starts at 6.30pm with fireworks at 8.30pm.

Friends of Poulner Junior School Fireworks Display & Bonfire Night is on Saturday 2nd November, starting at 6pm. It will be held on the school field.

Tickets purchased before 25th October are priced at £3, going up to £5 after that.

Fawley Firework Spectacular is on Sunday 3rd November from 5pm until 7.30pm, with a display to music, a fun fair, food stalls, a bar and LED performers.

Tickets cost £3 before 25th October, going up to £5 afterwards, available at Gang Warily Recreation Ground. There will be no tickets on the gate. A parking permit is £5.

Bransgore Fireworks will take place on 8th November at The Three Tuns. Gates open at 6pm, with tickets £8 per adult and £6 per child. Visit www.tickettailor.com/events/bransgorecofeprimaryschool/1391431

An event will be held in Lyndhurst, organised by the junior and senior football clubs and the town’s scouts on Friday 8th November. A bonfire will be lit at Coles Mead Recreations Ground at 6.30pm, and fireworks start at 7pm.

There is no parking available onsite.

Adult tickets cost £4, with kids £1. Refreshments on the night are cash only.
