Free membership for rest of month as Two Riversmeet leisure centre reopens
TWO Riversmeet leisure centre in Christchurch is set to reopen this weekend with new state-of-the-art gym equipment installed during its lockdown closure.
The complex is opening on Saturday with the gym, pool and fitness classes available to customers.
Stringent safety measures have been introduced at the centre, with gym equipment socially distanced and six extra sanitising stations installed.
The new gym items include high-specification cardiovascular consoles and premium free-weights equipment and resistance machines, all supplied by Pulse Fitness.
Cllr Lewis Allison, cabinet member for tourism and leisure, said: “We hope investment in the facilities will encourage more people to visit Two Riversmeet and enjoy everything it has to offer as part of a healthy lifestyle.”
Special membership deals are on offer with free membership for the rest of July while 25% will be taken off monthly fees for August and September for both new and existing members.
As reported in the A&T, the five leisure centres in the New Forest are set to open in the first week of August, with pools scheduled shortly afterwards.
All activities at Two Riversmeet must be booked online or on the phone. An up-to-date timetable is available on the centre’s website at www.bcpcouncil.gov.uk/2RiversMeet
