Fridges and televisions among items dumped in 'ridiculous' large flytip at Shepherds Gutter car park in the New Forest
POLICE have launched an investigation into a large flytip including fridges, freezers, televisions and computers found dumped at a New Forest beauty spot.
Clearance during a shop or hotel refit is believed to have resulted in the haul of goods being left scattered around the Shepherds Gutter car park in Bramshaw.
Officers and Forestry England workers dealt with the rubbish this afternoon (Wednesday).
Alongside images of the dump, a local police Facebook post urged people to come forward if they could help find the offenders responsible: “Can you help us identify this rubbish that was dumped in the Shepherds Gutter car park in Bramshaw?
“It looks like it is fridges, freezers, TVs and computers possibly from a shop or hotel refit. As you can see, Forestry England are already having it removed but if you know whose rubbish it is or even who dumped it, please let us know.”
Facebook users took to the comments to vent their anger at the district’s latest flytipping incident.
“This is totally ridiculous and unacceptable,” one wrote.
“What’s wrong with people, destroying our beautiful New Forest and putting animals’ lives at risk?”
