A FUEL tanker driver was hurt when the vehicle rolled into a ditch off a Beaulieu road and started leaking.
The alarm was raised around 1.15pm last Wednesday, and firefighters arrived to find diesel spilling out from the tanker which had landed on its side in Warren Lane.
They treated the driver, who had injured his arms, before handing him over to paramedics who took him to hospital.
Using specialist equipment, the crews from the village, Lymington, Redbridge and Romsey stemmed the leak and cleaned up the spillage.
They left the matter with a recovery team just over three hours later.
