A day of fun for all ages is promised by Lions Club of New Milton for its May Fayre this Saturday, 25th May, which will feature live music, birds of prey displays, a barbecue and more.

The event at the recreation ground is the first the club will celebrate using its new name the Lions Club of New Milton and District – as it now covers Lymington, Milford, Brockenhurst and Lyndhurst.

Proceedings will be kicked off at 11am by the New Forest Big Band, playing music from legends such as Glenn Miller, Count Basie and Duke Ellington.

There will two arenas, in one a fun dog show will take place with categories like “Waggiest Tail” and “Most Handsome Male.”

In the other there will be a chance to view birds of prey and there will two flying displays of them during the day.
