Funky Food Hut specialises in budget homemade dishes

A NEW world food café has opened for business with the aim of delivering budget homemade dishes in the New Milton area.

The Funky Food Hut in Whitefield Road offers various meals, including lasagne, jerk chicken, curry, spicy bean chilli, wraps and jacket potatoes.

Owner Tarquinn Voller said tables are available for customers to eat in, but he hopes his delivery service will be the driving force of the business’ success. He also wants to cater for local events and festivals.

“This is a great base for me to provide some good, cost effective homemade food,” he said.

“If you get a Chinese or an Indian takeaway, it can cost you upwards of £20 because you want more than one dish, so this inspired me to do something different by providing lots of different street food.”

The Funky Food Hut will also be offering pre-ordered Sunday roast dinners right to people’s doors.

The café is open from 6pm to 9pm on Tuesdays, 10am to 2pm and 5pm until 11pm Wednesday to Saturday, and 6pm to 10pm on Sundays.
