Married at First Sight groom Rob Voysey suited and booted thanks to New Milton's Fagans Menswear

STAFF at New Milton’s Fagans Menswear were thrilled when a groom-to-be from TV series Married at First Sight chose his wedding suit from the shop.

Rob Voysey, nicknamed Big Bob in the show, was filmed picking the bright purple check suit at the Station Road store.

He was later seen marrying Megan Wolfe during the first episode of the controversial series which features couples who have never met before getting wed after being picked by relationship experts.

Rob, who lives locally, had earlier told staff at Fagans how he was "excited" to be getting married on the Channel 4 show.

Shop assistant Hayley Eldridge said: “He said he had been single for some time and was at a time in his life when he wanted to settle down and was looking forward to the next chapter.

“It was really fun to help him pick his suit which he chose to match his big personality and then see it on TV when the show aired.

“We will be following Rob’s progress on the series and hope that it all ends happily for him.”

The shop opened specially for Rob during lockdown after being contacted by the TV company.

Hayley said: “Filming was allowed at that time and all safety precautions were taken.

“It’s been exciting to see the shop on TV, and Rob who came in with his best man was a really nice guy, so we are hoping he has found true happiness.”
