Police find handbag containing cannabis during anti-social behaviour crackdown patrols at Roundhills car park in Fordingbridge

A HANDBAG containing herbal cannabis and drug paraphernalia was found by police cracking down on anti-social behaviour at a Fordingbridge car park.

Local officers have been carrying out heightened foot patrols at the Roundhills car park amid a “high number” of reported disturbances, street drinking and smoking of the class B substance.

A small group of adults was said to have been involved and, on Thursday 3rd April, the patrols approached some individuals.

Posting online afterwards, the policing team said several left the area after being advised their behaviour was unacceptable and having a negative impact.

But the post continued: “On a subsequent patrol no persons were present but an open handbag was found by a bin with herbal cannabis and drug paraphernalia seized. Bag and tobacco removed to prevent falling into the hands of young children.
