Heavy rain and strong winds set to batter New Forest and Christchurch on Saturday as Met Office issues yellow weather warning

A WEATHER warning has been sent out as strong winds and heavy rain are expected to lash the New Forest and Christchurch tomorrow (Saturday).

The Met Office has issued the yellow alert for between 1pm and 10pm.

The national weather agency says to expect disruption to travel – delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport – with power loss possible.

Coastal routes, sea fronts and communities along shorelines will also be affected by spray and large waves.
