Met Office issues yellow warning for heavy rain in New Forest and Christchurch

A WARNING for heavy rainfall has been issued for the area, which could lead to flooding and travel disruption today (Tuesday).

The Met Office this morning issued the yellow warning for a large part of southern, central and western UK, and said there could be road closures, with spray and flooding on roads likely making journey times longer.

Bus and train services could also be affected, with the possibility of flooding for "a few homes" and businesses.

The warning is in place until 9pm.
