FROM one extreme to the other, the New Forest and Christchurch has been dealt another weather warning – this time for heavy rain and thunder.
With the area still reeling from this week's heatwave, the Met Office has issued a yellow alert for tomorrow (Friday) and is warning the area about difficult driving conditions and road closures with spray and sudden flooding.
There could be delays and cancellations of train and bus services, and power cuts from "slow-moving" heavy showers and thunderstorms.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said 20-25mm of rain is possible in less than an hour, and 40-50mm could fall in two or three hours. There's also a threat of hail and lightning.
The warning is in place from 10am to 10pm.
