Police pursuit in Holbury leads to arrest of suspected drug dealer from London




A SUSPECT who fled from police in Holbury was arrested in connection with drug supply offences.

Officers on routine patrols in the village noticed a suspicious vehicle in Faircross Close and approached it shortly before midday yesterday (Wednesday).

A man moved to leave the vehicle but then drove off at speed before abandoning it at the end of the road.

Having searched the area, the officers found him a short distance away in Roewood Close and carried out a stop-and-search.

This revealed class A and B drugs and a quantity of cash, all of which they seized.

Arrested on suspicion of possessing class A and B drugs with intent to supply, the 28-year-old Londoner was later released on conditional bail until Wednesday 16th February pending further enquiries.
