Hunt for flytipper who dumped a pile of waste in the middle of Lymore Lane, near Keyhaven.
Police are appealing for help in finding the flytipper who dumped a pile of waste in the middle of a rural road.
Officers received the report at 1.30pm yesterday (Tuesday) of the rubble blocking Lymore Lane, near Keyhaven.
They are asking for information from anyone in the area at the time who saw a vehicle carrying a large amount of waste – suspected to be a tipper van – to get in touch, quoting incident #1012 of 18th July.
“We would also ask if people who were driving in the area and who had dash cams could check their footage for around this time,” a spokesperson said.
Rob Miller, who came across the flytip, said: “I was working in Keyhaven. I just popped up the road to the shop to get lunch and when I came back it had happened.
“I thought whoever it was, was very brazen to do that in the middle of the day!”
A New Forest District Council spokesperson said: “NFDC are on site and we have begun clearance. Our enforcement team are investigating.
