POLICE have released an e-fit of a man they want to find after a teenage girl was assaulted in Totton.

The local 16-year-old was approached by a man who grabbed her arm and held onto her in Salisbury Road around 10pm on Tuesday 21st July.

Having carried out its own enquiries, officers are now calling on people to come forward if they recognise him from the image.

He is described as white, 50 to 55 years old, around 5ft 9ins tall, of large build, with dark hair which is long on top and shorter on the sides, and facial hair.

He was wearing a tight-fitting black T-shirt and light-blue stonewashed jeans, and he was riding a dark-coloured bike which had a silver basket and a speaker system on the back.

A spokesperson for the Hampshire force said: “Can you help us identify the man in this e-fit?

“We are looking to speak with him in connection to an assault on Salisbury Road, Totton, which happened on Tuesday 21st July at around 10pm.

“The victim, a 16-year-old girl from Totton, was approached by an unknown man who grabbed her by the arm and held onto her.”

The spokesperson added: “Enquiries to identify the man have been ongoing, but we are now asking the public to help us identify this e-fit.”
