A HYUNDAI i30 spiced up with more of the sporty ‘N’ magic has arrived in a new entry-level 1.0-litre T-GDi version priced from under £20,000.

The zesty 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine already accounts for 65% of i30 sales – and the N and N+ styling is also available for 140PS 1.4 T-GDi versions with choice of six-speed manual at £21,255 or seven-speed dual-clutch DCT automatic at £22,255.

All i30 N Line models come with Hyundai’s industry leading five-year unlimited mileage warranty, roadside assistance package, five-year annual health check, and 12-year warranty against corrosion.

For £19,995 the i30 N Line 1.0 120PS model with six-speed manual gearbox includes 17in alloy wheels fitted with Michelin tyres, N Line exclusive front and rear bumpers, twin exit exhausts, rear spoiler with integrated LED lights, gloss black door mirror covers, body-colour door handles and N Line badging.

Interior specification includes N Line sports cloth seats, black head lining and N branded steering wheel and gear lever.

Options include touchscreen satellite navigation including Traffic Messaging Channel, Mapcare and LIVE Services (N Line+ models) for £250 and metallic paint for £585.

Even without the N Line styling, the i30 N Line 1.0 120PS six-speed manual has a high standard specification, including keyless entry with start/stop button, 8in touchscreen display audio with DAB and standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear view camera and parking sensors, and cruise control with speed limiter function.

There are also electrically adjusted, heated and folding door mirrors, electric windows front and rear, electric mirrors, air conditioning, automatic headlights and split/folding rear seats.

As with all i30s, this entry level Hyundai i30 N Line boasts a high standard safety specification, with Lane Departure Warning System, Lane Keep Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking – which helps prevent shunts in stop-start traffic - Driver Attention Alert and Hill Start Assist Control.

For those wanting more from the Hyundai i30 spiced up range there are also N Line + versions of the 1.4-litre models priced at £23,255 for the manual and £24,255 for the automatic, bringing a higher specification including 18in alloy wheels, leather and suede seats - heated at the front and with driver’s seat memory - heated steering wheel, LED headlights and automatic wipers.

Hyundai MD Ashley Andrew said: “With the identity of the N Line range already established in the i30 range, the introduction of the 1.0 120 PS engine is the natural next step.

“This engine accounts for over 65% of petrol engine sales in the i30 range and with a clear market demand for smaller capacity engines combined with a sports focused trim, we have high expectations for this new N Line model.”
