Last year hundreds of spectators braved wind and rain for the event which marks the end of the commoning year.

Riders of all ages take part, navigating their way across open country.

Organisers have said anyone wanting to attend the finish with a vehicle must have a pass, which are limited to 250, under the terms of the event's permission from Forestry England.

Signs in the village of Fritham will direct people with permits to the parking. Anyone without a pass should leave their car elsewhere as admittance will be "strictly enforced".
