Homeless man Darren Shervington of Totton area jailed by Southampton magistrates for ‘serious unprovoked attack’ on woman




A HOMELESS man who launched a “serious unprovoked attack” on a woman has been jailed for 20 weeks.

Appearing before Southampton magistrates, Darren Shervington (44), of no fixed abode but living in the Totton area, admitted committing the offence in the city on 11th July last year.

Court paperwork stated: “The offence was so serious only a custodial sentence could be justified [because] of an unprovoked attack of a serious nature.”
