FLYTIPPERS dumped a large pile of electrical goods including lawnmowers and vacuum cleaners down a New Forest lane.

New Forest District Council warned those responsible faced prosecution for the dumping, found in Staplewood Lane, Marchwood, on Monday.

An investigation was launched as NFDC slammed the flytippers.

“Flytipping is not acceptable and as well as fines for less severe incidents, we also have the powers to prosecute offenders and seize vehicles,” a spokesperson said.

“Please, dispose of your waste responsibly.”

Posts about the offence on the authority’s Facebook and Twitter pages urged people with information about the dumped waste to come forward.

Contact NFDC in confidence by emailing customer.services@nfdc.gov.uk or calling 023 8028 5000.
