Letter: Thank you for all your support of Lymington hospital

SIR – My name is Emma Edwards and I work at Lymington hospital in the radiology department.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all the support, especially Red Herring Events’ food that they donate every week – not just for NHS workers but for other vulnerable people that need that little bit of help. So a massive thank you to Steve Hanson and his two sons who drop off food every week, George and Harry.

Also a big thank you to Herb UK that gave us lots of hand-sanitising spray that we definitely needed. Thank you, Raoul Perfitt.

Last week we had loads of flowers delivered from the Flower Factory in Southampton, and also had flowers left on my door step from Eric Credland.

It’s just been amazing and an emotional rollercoaster with all the support from local businesses, friends and family – not just for people who work for the NHS, also care workers, police force and firefighters, children’s homes, even supermarkets.

Tesco in New Milton have been amazing, so have Waitrose in Lymington, and Priestlands School that has stayed open to help key workers stay at work.

Thank you also Domino’s, Rivaaz restaurant, Costa (Lymington) and Chewton Glen, and Denise Bolt for making the uniform bags.

Something so bad has brought so many people together.

Thank you for staying in, helping us help you.

Emma Edwards,

Lymington
