Letters: It's time to honour our town's young achievers

SIR - Every community has young people doing great things for others, so if you know of such a person or group that deserves recognition, the New Milton Town Partnership is waiting to hear from you.

We are pleased to announce that the New Milton Lions Club have agreed to sponsor the awards and look forward to a lasting relationship celebrating the Town’s young people.

Nominations can be entered for any young person/group living in the parish of New Milton, which includes Ashley, Barton-on-Sea, Bashley and Milton

The deadline for entries is Monday 3rd June, with winners being announced and prizes awarded on Monday 10th June at New Milton Rugby Club.

Nominations can be made for individuals or groups in two categories: up to 14 years of age and 15-25 years.

A nominee could be contributing to their local community through volunteering; overcoming personal difficulties or challenges to find success; a young carer within the family, school, club, organisation, or workplace; or someone who has carried out an act of bravery; working as part of a group to promote good teamwork within the community
