A LYMINGTON man has pleaded guilty to making indecent images of children.
Martin Davidson admitted three charges of the offence which included pictures at category A – the most serious category – when he appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court.
Davidson, of Ditchbury, is also accused of three counts of distributing indecent images of children.
He appeared at Southampton Crown Court for sentencing last week but the court heard he claimed he had not uploaded the images “intentionally”.
Defence barrister Daniel Higgins said the defendant maintained he had uploaded the images unintentionally while downloading a programme to make his internet speed faster.
A Newton hearing will now take place on 16th November at the court to resolve factual differences between prosecution and defence. A judge will then decide the finding of fact on which sentencing will be based.
Davidson will also be sentenced on the making of indecent images of children on the same date.
