Setting out from Milford War Memorial Hospital at 6.15am on 11th November, the walkers took a 21km trek around five war memorials on the Forest before arriving back at Lymington’s in time for the two-minute silence at 11am.

Lymington Poppy Appeal organiser Jean Barras accepted the £4,000 cheque from the walkers on behalf of the town’s Royal British Legion and Scotty’s Little Soldiers, a charity dedicated to supporting bereaved service children.
