Man arrested after We Buy Any Car dealer's finger broken in valuation row
A MAN was arrested by police investigating claims of a row over a second-hand car that ended in a We Buy Any Car dealer’s finger being broken.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened at its base at the Bailey Bridge retail park in Christchurch.
According to Dorset Police, a male customer became angry at the valuation of a vehicle and shut the member of staff’s hand in the car door.
The incident at We Buy Any Car happened at around 2.50pm on Thursday 12th September and a 49-year-old man from New Milton has been arrested.
He is suspected of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and has been released under investigation.
PC Rob Cook, of Christchurch police, said: “We are continuing to make enquiries into this incident and I would urge any witnesses to contact us.
“I understand there were a number of people in the area at the time and I would like to hear from anyone with information that may assist our investigation.”
