Man arrested over alleged violent offences in Blackfield later released and will face no further police action




A MAN was arrested and later released following a police appeal to trace a suspect in connection with violent offences in Blackfield.

Officers recently sought the public’s help to locate a man as they investigated allegations of assault causing actual bodily harm, non-fatal strangulation and criminal damage.

The offences were said to have been committed in the village near Fawley on Wednesday 6th September.

Today (Wednesday) the force announced it arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, criminal damage, harassment without violence, intentional strangulation, intimidating a witness and making threats to kill.

However, the individual was later released and will face no further police action.
