POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was racially abused while delivering a takeaway in Marchwood.

The victim, a 32-year-old man from Southampton, was dropping off food to an address on The Crescent at about 7.30pm on Saturday 12th December.

He approached two men outside the property, whom he believed were waiting for the takeaway.

The pair assaulted the victim, during which he suffered minor injuries, and subjected him to racial abuse, Hampshire police said.

The suspects were white, aged between 17 and 18 years old, of slim build and about 5ft 8in tall.

Police want to speak to anyone who has information about the incident, saw it or were driving in the area at the time and may have dashcam footage.
