A RINGWOOD man has been banned from two branches of McDonald’s after attacking a worker.

The incident took place at the Ferndown outlet of the fast foot company in May of last year when Aaron Walters (29), of Winston Way, assaulted Michaela Natase.

Walters pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared before Southampton magistrates.

He was handed a restraining order banning him from entering the McDonald’s outlets at Burley Services and in Ferndown for a year.

He had also admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards Christopher Bessant and Olivia Bessant in another incident at Ringwood in April 2019.

The court heard that at the time he was on a community order he had been given for sexual touching, assaults and stealing alcohol.

Sentencing him to a 12-week jail term, suspended for two years, the Bench said the assault was “unprovoked”, and Walters’ behaviour had been “frightening” towards the Bessants.

The defendant was also told to complete treatment for alcohol dependency and mental health as part of a supervision order, as well as pay £100 compensation to each victim and £122 court costs.
