Man due in court over death of Ella Cooper after crash near Sixpenny Handley roundabout on B3081
A MAN is due in court on Thursday in connection with the death of a Ringwood woman after a three-vehicle road crash.
As reported in the A&T, Ella Cooper (37) died after her Volkswagen Up was involved in a collision with an Audi A3 and Isuzu pick-up on the B3081 near Sixpenny Handley roundabout on 1st February last year.
She was taken to Southampton General Hospital with life-threatening injuries but died six days later.
The male passenger in the VW also suffered serious injuries, while the occupants of the Audi – an adult and two children – and the driver of the pick-up suffered minor injuries.
Now a 37-year-old man from Sixpenny Handley is set to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Thursday answering charges of causing death by driving without due care or consideration while over the specified controlled drug limit.
After her death, the family of Ella, who was due to be married later that year, paid tribute to her as "thoughtful, loving, generous, smart, hardworking and fiercely determined".
