Passenger in ‘life-threatening condition’ after coming out of moving van on the A326 Long Lane in Holbury




A MAN was fighting for his life after leaving a van as it travelled along a main road in Holbury.

Witnesses and video footage are being sought by police investigating the incident which happened on the A326 Long Lane around 9.40pm last Thursday.

The passenger of a white Ford Transit, travelling between Blackfield and Holbury at the time, reportedly exited the vehicle while it was in motion.

Having suffered serious injuries, the casualty, who is in his 30s and from Southampton, was taken by ambulance to hospital.

A Hampshire force spokesperson said the following day he remained in “a life-threatening condition”.

The spokesperson continued: “We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident.

“Were you traveling along Long Lane, in either direction?

“Do you recall seeing a white Ford Transit (flatbed) which was transporting a motorbike?”

They added: “Did you see the incident itself, or do you have any dash cam footage which could assist us in our enquiries?”
