THREATENING to burn down a woman’s house landed a Bransgore man with an 18-week jail term.

Wayne James (37), of Burnt House Lane, had denied stalking the female victim over four days last October.

However, Southampton magistrates found him guilty of the charge. James admitted another charge of failing to turn up to court.

Southampton magistrates ordered James pay £122 and handed him a restraining order which banned him contacting two witnesses or going to an address.
