Man seriously injured in two-vehicle crash near Hunters Crescent, Totton, which closes part of A326
ONE person was badly hurt following a two-vehicle collision which completely closed off a stretch of the A326 west Totton bypass early this morning (Thursday).
The incident involving a Suzuki Ignis and a Renault Captur took place around 5.20am near Hunters Crescent, between the Fletchwood Road and Ringwood Road roundabouts.
A hazardous area response team was among South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) units sent, and paramedics assessed and treated three casualties, a man and two women.
Having suffered serious injuries, the man was taken by ambulance to Southampton General Hospital, and the women were also taken to hospital with injuries described by SCAS as “non-life-threatening”.
The A326 was closed in both directions between the A336 Ringwood Road and Fletchwood Road as police investigated the collision.
People are being urged to come forward if they saw it.
A spokesperson for the Hampshire force said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and we are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or was using this road and has any information to call 101, quoting incident 267 of today’s date."
The road had reopened by 10.30am.
