Man seriously injured in digger incident on farm at Godshill Wood




A MAN was badly hurt after his leg was trapped under an overturned digger near Fordingbridge.

The alarm was raised at around 2.50pm on Tuesday on a farm at Godshill Wood.

Firefighters from the town and Redbridge provided emergency care to the 20-year-old victim before releasing him from under the machinery.

A hazardous area response team and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight air ambulance were among the paramedics sent.

The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to Southampton General Hospital by road, accompanied by the helicopter’s medics.
